I was really inspired when I saw the above floors done by Emily & her husband. Believe it or not but Emily used a stencil and a little paint to accomplish the above work of art. Didn't it turn out just beautiful? Emily also is the author a a great blog called Wide Open Spaces....it's one of my faves so go check it out here.
I always had in my head that stencils were only used in the 80's to create works of art that included apples and ducks on a wall. Wow, was I wrong because after persuing some of the stencils that are offered theses days it made me consider using them for a project somewhere down the line...way down the line actually but here are a few of my favorites anyway.
Has anybody else out there completed any projects using stencils?

O.K, now I want to paint my concrete floors;) Really your stencils have inspired me. I would have no more thought of stencils than I would green super shag carpet. how wrong I was. I feel a project coming on...And I love your beaded shirt! Especially the blingy buttons at the top. I want one....

Do you know if you must do this on concrete only? I have terrible vinyl in my kitchen and I'm not sure I want tile in there...I kind of like that the flooring has "give" when I'm on my feet for hours baking.

I have also seen some examples of of stenciling done on a linoleum floor so I think it would work. There are a couple of links that I have left to explore in the post that may be helpful. If you decide to try it let me know.

if you come up with a room done with a stencil floor in a couple of weeks, i will swear you are not from this world!!! you crafter, mommy, blogger, thrift shopper, trend setter, extraordinaire! (just to name a few...)
Here is something that is not as messy as paint and stencils. Decals, they might not work to well for the floors. They work really well for walls, ceilings, even windows. If you are in an apartment and you want something that you can put on the walls that do not require nails or paint this is a good way to change things up. They come off without hurting the paint. They can be customized if you want. Use a photo of your child in their room. If you want to see more you can see our post on it at:

Love the floor. That way a lot of work. Well done. Their are a lot of choices now that we did not have before. It is better than wall paper when it comes time to change it. Very nice post.
