{quirky collection}

I'm doing some major cleaning. I came across my vintage patch/applique/notion collection. Above is just a small sampling of what has been sitting around for many years. I think it's time to put the collection to work.

Hello lovely. I just wanted to take a quick moment to say I've been lurking, er, I mean stopping by, your blog and enjoying all of the eye candy and laughs you always provide in your posts! Things are crazy around these here parts (nevermind my attempt at talking like a true 'southerner' as I wish I lived south of all this snow we're getting), so I've not been posting much, make that, at all but I have been trying to keep up on my favorite-ist of blogs and yours of course is on that list. As a mama myself,although it's only of one, I thoroughly enjoyed your post about lunch at Ikea and know exactly what it's like to feel like we must seclude ourselves in as much isolation as possible when dining out with a toddler, or in your case that day, three! :) At least you always looks lovely while managing the "full house". ;)

Just bought a pin from ModCloth that was an old patch. They had sewn a couple of chains and buttons to the front of the patch, and hot glued a pin to the back. Looks awesome on a white blouse or any jacket. Just an idea for you!!!

MORNIN'!
You have some GREAT stuff there. Can't wait to see what you do with it all. I have my husband's Eagle Scout patches that I'll do something with one day for Porter's room. There are about 40 so I'll ask for your help.

I love the colorful ones! I can see them arranged just like that on the back of a jacket or a canvas bag. You know me, the more the better!

I have no doubt you will do something amazing with your collections. My parents have a few collections from some ancestors that I want to get my hands on and put in a shadow box. I love collections!
