I could not help but share a little sneak peak of a project I am working on...yes you spy an upholstered desk in a metallic python fabric. I originally was going to cover the piece in faux python leather but could not seem to get enough of it in my price point. The Malm dressing table was purchased at IKEA and was the perfect size for a small desk in my guest room. I still need to install that drawer that I just painted in the color shown above and put on the coolest upholstery tacks that I have on order. Stay tuned.
Have a fab weekend.
Whoa woman,
ReplyDeleteThis is hella glam you've got working here and that acid yellow paint looks delicious.
Do share whatever this becomes...like, pronto.
Happy weekend, Alcira

I cant wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteNO WAY this is stunning. Can you tell me where you got the python covering? When I saw that table in ikea the other day I thought to cover it in a DIY too. I love how even though the python is super daring you really toned it down with the botanical material. you are so talented. Its incredible. Here's the DIY I did last night with the lack table from ikea.

take care!
Can't wait! Thanks, Christina! It looks amazing already!
ReplyDeleteWow you are so talented can't wait to see the finished product! What a mix!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I cannot wait. I love the snakeskin, yellow, greek key - okay, all of it. Please share post haste!
ReplyDeleteThose are some darn fortunate guests you'll have staying in that room. Gorgeous, drop dead gorgeous. Only thing, I wish that table were real snake skin because then you'd really be doing the world a service by not only inspiring the masses with your design prowess but also ridding the world of extra snakes. In my opinion, the only purpose of a snake is to cover a table or a pair of shoes or a bag.
ReplyDeleteI'm also smitten with that, of all things, new looking paint brush. :)
Enjoy the weekend!
You are just so cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally loving that chartreuse color too - it's an accent in my kitchen!
Can't wait to see the finished product.
my fashion friend was on the news last week saying "python is the thing to look for this season" you are so with it:) I am so not:)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of covering the table!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and layers.
Can't wait to see the next photos of the process.

ReplyDeleteThanks Liza breath for that memory.
Oooh - I can't wait to see. I am dying to do various painting projects and am super bummed that being pregnant and then having a baby will mean that I have to stay away from noxious fumes. So, did you upholster the parsons table yourself? Is it a cheap piece that you got and then revamped? I am in desperate need of a parson's table.
