If you are like me then you have a great love of travel and an appreciation of really cool hotels. I've had my eye on the Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin for a couple of years and was really excited to see the above photographs taken by the duo lioninoil. To see more of lioninoil's work go here. I like how they describe themselves as having experience in graphic design, architecture, photography and web design..what a great combo.

  1. Amazing hotel... it has been on my list, too!

Blogger vacation, perhaps? Here's to dreaming!

  2. My bachelorette party is in Austin next month... we looked into staying here, but we're packing 3 girls to a room, so the one bed thing didn't work out, and we opted for the new W instead. Still, I hope to pop by to check it out for a later visit.

  8. Holy moly!!! I think it's time for an Austin roadtrip. I went to Texas for the first time in January, but didn't get to visit Austin. It's definitely a city on my to-see list. And thanks to you, I might've found my lodging.

  11. Shoot...I live in Austin, and I want to stay there! I don't know if it'd be worth $300/night...but it'd be worth scoping out I think.

  15. I moved from Austin a year ago and live now in sunny southwest Florida! I miss Austin ;( That said, you must go to the Discoll Hotel downtown also...even if you just go into the lobby and lounge areas. It's a beautiful Historic Hotel! Also be sure to eat Salt Lick BBQ and go to Hula Hut for polynesian Tex Mex! I can give you a list of "Must Do's!"

  16. Austin is the place fo-sho, and this would be the spot to kick it up, definitely! As a former Dallasite and Houstonian, I found it hilarious on a t-shirt in a Houston boutique, "it's okay to [skull & crossbones] Austin". Classic! There is a wee inferiority complex going on, ha!

For days I haven't been able to see images on your blog on my computer... now I'm on my phone cuz I needed my Christina fix. Have a fun weekend!!
