There is almost nothing more that can get me excited than the prospect of traveling...and with traveling comes hotels. Combine the idea of chicly decorated hotels with a beautiful new place to explore and in my book that happens to be one of the best recipes on this planet.

Does the above hotel look familiar to anyone? I'll give you one guess...actually if you hang out with me this week on my blog and you can't figure out where I am going with this then wait until Friday and I will give you the answer. For now enjoy a week of chic hotels that all have something in common and dream along.

Does anybody else out there love to travel...if so pls. do share your most favorite vacation destination spots...besides Disneyland..because that is where we are taking our little ones here very soon (which may not be considered a vacation either). Hope we don't loose anybody or that we don't have any party poopers when we board the Pirates of the Caribbean. Never thought I would be into child leashes until now.

Have a fabulous week!

P.S. - The above hotel happens to be in Germany, if you didn't know by the name.

P.S.S. - Did you happen to notice all of the animal mounts?

  1. Disneyland! Brave girl, you. We are going in 2011--been telling the kids that for 2 years now. It is a form of torture to tell your kids, "You're going to Disney World...in three years." Waa, waa, waa.

If I could live from hotel to hotel I would. Since we are in the sweet throes of raising young children, there is mainly only dreaming. I will enjoy your week of pretend hotel living. But when we do get a chance for a getaway, I love the simple and chic Hotel Secreto on the island of Isla Mujeres in Mexico. Caribbean...my fave.

I've been thinking about replacing my white coffee table with a black table that I thrifted recently...these images might be convincing me. :)

  3. These photos are breath-taking!

I don't travel very often, but I've been blessed enough to visit Tanzania, Africa.

It was absolutely amazing, and completely humbling to realize what an incredible world we live in.

  4. I am ready to pack my bags...What a gorgeous hotel! I think I would have a hard time not stuffing the curtains and pillows into my carryon ;)

I always thought those child leashes were nuts until my nephew turned 3, he's very rambunctious little boy who doesn't believe in strangers :) so I have been seen on the other end of one of those monkey backpack leashes and its only half as humiliating as you thinnk it would be.

Being from Iowa, I am always in the mood for a beachy getaway - my favorites are anywhere in the Riviera Maya. If its retail-therapy time, a shopping trip to Chicago or Las Vegas always fills the need.

    Enjoy your trip!!

  5. amazing pictures. germany has never been on the TOP of my list, but it is now. that hotel is fabulous. i especially love the chartreuse room!
i LOVE to travel, but the time and money it takes definitely stops me from going everywhere i dream of visiting. (i have never been to europe, which KILLS me!) my husband and i get away once a year together, and usually plan the trip around a great destination and a fabulous hotel.
    our top spots so far:
the inn at little washington in washington, virginia,
little palm island in the florida keys, and the cloister in sea island, georgia.

  6. Lovely images. My parents met and fell in love in Heidelberg, Germany (in the early '60's). I've never been but always had a picture in my mind (from their stories) - it is much more beautiful than I imagined. Went to Berlin last year but sadly, didn't make it to Heidelberg. Thanks for the look see.

  9. Traveling? ...YES PLEASE. Lucern Switzerland is a must. The most beautiful quaint CLEAN place I have ever been. We stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast type hotel with squeaky floors too boot. Aww its absolute perfection. And would you believe all the shops are closed on Sundays. I loved it.

i've NEVER been overseas. i hate that i am missing that on my travel resume - too. lucky to have been to many of our great states, but staying in swakey hotels such as this has never been a luxury of mine. i would just D.I.E. if i could.

  17. I had my first European trip last year and my very favorite spot was Copenhagen, Denmark. The multi-colored buildings on the water in Nyhavn were breathtaking, the architecture is out of this world and the foooood....mmmm.

  18. Hostel bar’s also tend to have a pool table, and events on daily, which again, make it easier to make friends.
