Good morning all..come check me out over on Kirsten's fabulous 6th Street Design blog (I love her blog). I had so much fun participating in her "what I love about" series. You may even see something that has to do with being in my bedroom. Don't be shy come on over and say hi, right here.
Speaking of bedroom..the above are snippets of scenes from my bedroom. I've had the same bedroom setup for almost 8 years and just as I am ready to invest in a rug and window treatments, I want to redo the whole thing. I guess the beauty of it all is that I did almost everything via the discount highway so I can easily justify that one. One of my all time favorite thrifting items exists as the piece of signed art in the top photo. That piece is done by a French artist. On Ebay all of the pieces range from about $700 to $7000. Not too bad since I only paid $5.00 and bought it because I loved the colors that are in it. Oh for the love of thrift.
Lovely room and congrats' on the find. I love what looks like a brooch on the pillow in the first shots. That's a great idea for many of the vintage pins I have that are quite up to snuff to make it into my shop but are too cute to toss - love it, thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I found your blog about a week ago and just love the photos you take. How did you get those rays of sun in the photo? Did you have to do anything special with the camera setting?

ReplyDeleteHot dog, what an art piece to find! You, master of thrifting.
ReplyDeleteYour room is glamourous--but I do understand your desire to change a pretty room as our bedroom is almost as old, nice but I've lived with it for so long. I think only a few little changes are in order. I've been dreaming about it all week. What color for the walls? What kind of pillows? Our duvet cover is so ragged, with holes and snags, but so incredibly soft that it is just a dream to snuggle up with honey in that fluffy cloud.
What do you have in mind for that beautiful room?
Your bedroom is georg!! Its so soothing and relaxing feeling- and that art, don't even get me started!
