My kids were ticked off that I didn't buy them the $4.oo ice cream cone that they wanted but instead opted for the cheaper old fashioned candy sticks @ the old store in Tortilla Flats.
What I liked most about the above scenario was that my daughter all of a sudden turned to her sister who was madly throwing a tantrum and said, "We get what we get and we don't throw a fit"...AWESOME.
Haha, I have a feeling that I'm going to need to remember that quote as my little girl gets older and develops more attitude. Love your girls' dresses!!
Oh how I love Tortilla Flats... that little nugget holds such a special place in my heart! But the prickly pear ice cream is really kind of spectacular... I'm just sayin'! ;-)
Christina! You made your girls dresses out of the same material you made you skirt - how darling! I did make my first visit to SAS, but never found the fabric. We are moving to the over to the Central Corridor, so I will be a hop, skip and a jump from SAS. I can pop in and look for fabric on a regular basis. I just need to learn to sew!
Thank you for your daily inspiration! Your blog and pictures make me so happy!
Those dresses are sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteSometimes my boyfriend has to tell me the same thing when I throw a fit :)

We quote that all the time. I find it comes especially in handy when 5 year old wants just one more...cupcake!
