{inspiration for boys room}

Some things are necessary like the advancement of growing boys into big
boy beds.

I will miss coming to get the boys out of their cribs and the angelic
feeling that their little baby room has.

Moving onward though. The following are rooms that I find inspiring to
put the new room together.

Dearest Darling Caitlin..

What do you think about the above photos? I'm thinking that since you found me the below pillow that you should continue to help me with your magic skills.

  4. Wow, I love the blue double bunks with the cargo netting for rails! Makes me want to throw all my kids into one big room together. If they were all one gender, I think I would...

  7. I've been thinking about painting wide striped walls for my babies, so I especially love that blued striped room.

I also love YOUR babies' room. If you're looking to get rid of a crib, let me know.

  9. Thanks for the inspiration! It couldn't have come at a better time: my husband I were just discussing our boys' rooms yesterday. I stayed up (too) late researching possibilities. We're trying to decide about having them share a room (right now each have their own). Those photos give me some great ideas!

  11. omg! i have always wanted (2) catstudio state pillows. one for california & the other of course for tennessee. you lucky girl!

about the boys' room. i can't wait to see what you do. early on when big brother was going from crib to big bed we purchased a bunk with a trundle. (since we knew the twins' were on their way.) i am so glad we did. because i know they will all rotate between bedrooms soon enough. love your photos. they are all so diifferent & good in their own way. i'm bookmarking this post, my friend.

  12. I can't believe your little men stay in their cribs still! I miss those days but we had to bring them to an end a while ago since we have a climber on our hands. Super adorable nursery they have lovely lady.

As for the inspiration rooms... I was in serious need of this. Where oh where do you find these images??? I may need to email you a photo of a comforter I have for our little man's "big boy" bed and ask what your creative ideas would be since I am still at a complete blank, therefore, at a stand still with his room.

Can't wait to see what you do... your little guys are so lucky to have you as a mama!

  13. Thank you for the great "big boy" room inspiration! It is SO hard to find chic boy room ideas!! I wish I would have seen this last year before I took the easy route and did a Western room. Oh well, I live in Texas, so it works. I'll come back to this when my youngest son is out of the crib!

  14. Now if you could just have a room big enough to incorporate those great ideas in, you would be set!! Whatever you come up will be marvelous though.

  20. That 10th photo of the bedrooms (bed and desk with bookcases on the wall is the template I am using to design our guestroom/office.

As the mom of an almost 3 year old, I praise you for your ability to raise 5 young kids. I don't have that kind of patience. LOL!

  21. Love a good map in a boys room. I only have one boy, so he always gets his own room. It is always very boyish. I have a giant map and a place to put it, I just haven't done what I wanted to with it yet....
