Thanksgiving before Christmas

I know, I know we haven't even made it to Thanksgiving yet.  This season I am really attracted to gold.

Speaking of sharing...I'm looking for a new yummy sweet potato recipe to try out on Thanksgiving Day...so don't hold out on me.  I could certainly google recipes but I want something tried and true.  You can even send the recipe via email and I will forever be grateful.

A lovely day to all!

i've got a great tried & true "southern sweet potato cassarole" recipe calling your name. it is more like a dessert. i guess that is what southerns are known for, though. (sweet & fattening) i will have to email it to you later this evening, if that's okay.

  3. This is my favorite sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving, and it's a Dodds family classic!

1 Lg. can yams (or fresh yams, cut and boiled like potatoes)
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbs. melted butter
    3 Tbs. flour
    1/3 c. chopped pecans
    (1/3 c. coconut

Place drained yams in ungreased casserole dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Sprinkle over yams. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
