Summertime crazies

Sometimes as the heat begins to rise so do the crazies.  Everyone starts to get all couped up because it gets so hot that even the pool water is not so refreshing anymore after it evolves into something more like a jacuzzi.  We welcome all stroller friendly, air-conditioned meccas.  It can be quite the fight to even make the effort to get out come summertime.  After talking with Stacey about driving somewhere where the weather is still in the 80's we found that it would be a minimum drive of 2.5 hours so we just settled on the Science Center downtown.  Our first stop was the grocery store where we could load up on our provisions.   First on the priority list was St. John's Wart, I mean come on let's be honest if we were going to make it on our outing we probably needed a little extra help in the anxiety department.

Our reflection as we neared the entrance of the Science Center.

Our silhouettes.

Flight attendant Stacey.  If you fly US Airways you may see her in real life so make sure to say hello.  Hopefully after this little outing she wasn't ready to board a plane & get out of here.

All in all the outing was worth the effort and actually helped to ease some of the crazies.  Hey & we didn't need to take the St. John's Wart after all, although I have heard that it does work quite well.

P.S.  - It was 118 degrees in the downtown concrete jungle & only 113 degrees @ my house.  Anybody want to come be my neighbor...come winter time I bet you will.  I have to keep reminding myself that this doesn't last forever, just as things don't in life as well.  Usually things are just stages and will pass.  Things are always changing & do not last. I can never get any of my past days back so I guess the key is to always seize the day & find as much joy as possible even if it is not always totally the "ideal".  (Sometimes easier said than done)

That Science Center looks fantastic. I'd love for you to show us around next time we are in town. I promise to take you to the Arizona Puppet House. The kids would love it.
