I thought Jennifer Aniston was buying the above place but apparently not because word on the street is that she just bought the below for half the price (I find out all of the BIG news on my Yahoo homepage). Why would one care anyway...well because the top place is one of my favorite spaces designed by Lauren Stern Design group. a blast from my past (Keri Russell)

On the last day of school before Keri moved away my buddy Newly wrote in my yearbook, "Pls. tell Keri I will never forget her". I smile at that now because I am pretty sure anybody who went to Kino Jr. High back in the day has not forgotten Keri. Keri and I spent our last project in school that year as partners for a science project. Bless her heart, she never wanted to get in trouble by talking in class but didn't want to make me feel bad either because I had a chatty habit (sorry Mom). Lots of great memories of growing up and birthday slumber parties with our little group of girl friends. We may have even had a dance off after we all watched Sarah Jessica Parker in "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"..do you remember that one? Keri was always one of the nicest ones around and a friend to all. Anyway it has been fun to follow her along on her career. After I saw her home in Elle Decor I thought, "Well that makes sense". I think her personal fashion style translates into her home.

Like her chandelier...then may I suggest an affordable option here or here (oh shoot that second one is not exactly budget friendly..I will keep looking).

Happy Mother's Day!!

Wow, time has flown by which means I am opting for a bit of a repost. I feel fine about that because I never get sick of celebrating mother hearts and feel like I could repost this everyday and never get sick of it..unlike that room I probably posted about with zigzags a couple years ago;-)

Few of us will reach our potential without the nurturing of both the mother who bore us and the mothers who bear with us.

Thanks for teaching me to be strong. You are the main reason to why I know that motherhood is an opportunity of a lifetime and my most noble calling. I truly do think that good mothers around the world are the secret weapon in life.

I need a tissue now. Good memories were had in that wood paneled station wagon. I remember that day when Mom dressed us up as pioneers and took us to the mountains for a picnic.

Very excited for my friend Michelle Herrick (who has taken many of our photos) because she has been selected to show her work at First Friday. Also, Michelle recently captured my kids and I in action. Thank you Michelle I love the photos. Just in time for Mother's Day. I have tried to have my mother's game on lately after returning from a women's conference (imagine a place with thousands upon thousands of woman folk..a little giddy) in Utah and have been thinking so much about the Mom that I really want and need to be. Executing certain mothering tactics is certainly easier said than done sometimes. I really do feel like motherhood is my greatest calling in life and would not trade it for the world.

Speaking of Mothers I got to hang out with mine last night.

We got to have a few moments while the kids were playing to bond over my anti-depressant methods..home decor mags and shrimp tacos of course. I must mention that a very kind reader sent me a couple of Canadian treats (I love my Canadian blogging friends). This same reader also let me know the correct resource for the bathroom hardware in Sabrina Linn's space (I will share soon).

For now I feel all tender in my heart for my Mom as we all gear up to celebrate Mother's Day. More thoughts on that later.

I've had fun going through some early 70's House Beautiful magazines. It makes me smile about the fact that so many styles tend to recycle and make a come back both in fashion and home decor.

{Clean & Fresh}

I know, I know, light blog posts as of late.

Anyway just wanted to check in real quick.

Don't you just think that the above Greenwich home designed by Lynne Scalo feels so clean and fresh..perfect for Spring. To see more of the space go here. I actually spotted the space in the Spring issue of Luxe while in the airport flying home from a snowy long weekend in Utah. I could not believe the snow had the nerve to try and welcome in the month of May. Actually I kind of liked it..sorry Utah friends.

Also, this whole buying things on Ebay has worked out nicely these days. I finally got my brass chair. I think I need to stop it with the whole spot thing (refer to the new spotted linen fabric below).
