A few snippets from the weekend included irrigating Nana and Baca's yard. It was probably one of the highlights for the girls because when the water came in so did Tom and Elizabeth. Tom & Elizabeth were the cute little frogs that got lots of loving...to put it nicely. We almost had 2 frogs come home with us...that was until I told them that frogs give little girls warts. They then made the right decision and let the froggys free (see how that works). I think the weather helped to keep all of the people in my home pretty happy today...oh and it didn't hurt that church was cut in half and I sat by myself with no distractions. To me that was a welcome way to mix up a very beautiful Sabbath Day.

Oh and I also think that irrigation boots and shorts look REALLY good together...mostly because of who is wearing them.

Remember all of the hotels we dreamt about last week...well all of those hotels have a common interest because they were designed by Michele Bonan who also happened to also design the JK Capri in Italy....which happens to be one my favorite hotels that has served as inspiration to me on more than one occasion as seen here. From the looks of a the sampling I gave last week I am sure you can see that whatever Michele gets his hands on turns to gold. I would love to stay at any one of the hotels he has had a hand in designing. I love all of those cute little chairs with the rings on the back that he uses more than not.

Anyway go here to see more Michele Bonan's work and go here to see more hotels that he has had a hand in decorating.

Now will somebody pls. go to stay at one of these fine hotels pls.?

I think black and white photography is so captivating. It is classic and is able to tell a story by focusing more on emotions than colors....or something like that.

Speaking of emotions...I'm feeling it today...life is GOOD! HAPPY FRIDAY!

{selfish}

I just got done posting on my family blog and could not help but do short recap over here because after all those sweet children of mine are what truly make my house full as well as my heart. You ready for all this glamour....

I had gained 68 lbs. in hopes of having healthy triplet boys. It is hard to tell because I do not look as large as I was but I am wearing an extra large t-shirt that belonged to husband and those fine polka dot bottoms...well soon after that picture the crotch had ripped due to all of my expanding body parts...I had almost survived four months strict bed rest and couldn't even fit into many of my maternity clothes anymore. My girls were only two and I was a week and a half away from having very large triplets.

Today I realized that the above picture encapsulated some of the very last clear memories I've had over the last few years. I still remember these last three years but what has followed has been a whirlwind of surviving and I never knew how quickly time could fly by. The reason I thought about the above picture today was because I am trying to make sense of why it was so much easier to make peace with what was about to transpire with having triplets but can not seem to make peace with the fact that my girls are done with preschool. I do not want them to get bigger and I do not want them to go to kindergarten. Anyway I saved most of the emotions for the other blog but I am here to say that I think I might be selfish. I want to keep these kids little forever. My girl helped us to learn a lesson after her Dad expressed to her that he wanted her to quit growing and to stay little. Her response to him was "Dad, but if I don't grow bigger then I won't be able to get married and have children and I want to be able to love my children the way you love me." Darn it, why did she have to say that...at that moment that was not what I wanted to hear but needed to hear (there is a difference you know). It's all part of the Plan I suppose.

Anyway enough of all of that. I feel better now that I have posted about it twice...in fact I feel so much better that I may even start another blog just so I can write about it again (that's funny because I am not so good @ keeping up 2 blogs) Now onto the fun stuff....my kids in action at preschool. In case you are wondering I did not put the orange polka dot scarf on my child but I do like it...

Apparently we extended our stay in Italy. Were you nervous that we didn't have anywhere to stay yesterday? It was just so nice there in Italia that we couldn't quite leave but don't worry we will probably want to go back very soon. Well today we have some business in Miami (don't tell Will Smith..something about all no work all play okay..I'm going to Miami, welcome to Miami) and we are checking into the Cipriani Ocean Resort. It is so nice and clean that I think I could stay here for a long time. Just look how beautiful the room is.

NOTE: Does anybody notice that all almost all of the hotels showcased this week have the very same cool chairs with the rings on the back? Hmmm I seem to remember now that my one of my favorite all time hotels have the same chairs...that may be a clue.

The above comes from Timothy Whealon's weekend home & I think the man has skills. I am SO happy to have an Elle Decor subscription. I really loved all of the spreads in this months issue.

hobby

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Guess who tries on all hair accessories before they are mailed out.... She especially likes the above two because she knew they were going to go to somebody getting married. All the flowers were hand cut so when I had a custom request for a daisy I got a little nervous. I only hope the bride is as pleased with the way it turned out as much as I am. Anyway I will finally be posting a few new items in my hobby shop to all of those who are interested. To the couple of fine people who inquired about the yellow and gold, yes that one will be included. Stay tuned.
