So I have been thinking .....I love it when things have a purpose. For example, historically, blogging has served a purpose in being such a wonderful outlet that has helped me to focus on some of the things that I really enjoy. I have recently found myself at a crossroad and need to figure out how I would like to press forward. Seriously I joke around and call blogging my anti-depressent but it really has been in many ways. I have made so many fabulous connections and friends which in turn has lifted my spirits on many occasions..so thank you. Now if only I could clone myself (or somebody better than I) then I wouldn't feel so spread out thin. I keep having to remember about purpose and quality over quantity. I am not a fan that I haven't written more about life @ home...which was the purpose of creating a family blog..ooops.

Oh and has anybody ever been to Victoria British Columbia? I have heard it is just beautiful so I wanted to see it for myself this weekend. Any suggestions on places to not miss while up there?

P.S. - I have decided that motherhood sometimes hurts so good. I can not even begin to even describe what a blessing it is. I do not ever want these little dudes to get bigger.

P.S.S - Thank you to the commenter from Michigan who told me about my sister being tired. It is a small world indeed.

Why don't you limit yourself to blogging twice a week. Then you could look forward to it. You don't have to always have a long post. We don't need multiple pictures. You can ask questions and wait for answers. Like My Favorite and My Best's What design trends are you sick of. If the Lampshade fits posts a picture and says "Discuss" Why don't you post about Arizona bloggers? Also, you don't have to only talk about design. Just talk about the challenges of kids, or use your blog to record your kids day to day life. You could have a set pattern. One day - duplicate blog from someone else. Another day a week - recipe from someone that you like. Third day - how your life is going. You need an outlet for yourself, or you will go crazy. If this isn't working for you stop it for a while. Why don't you talk about being Morman if that's what you are. We would all like to learn about that. Ann

Pink is sooooo lovely.

I have been feeling guilty about turning my family blog into more of a design blog, so I'm going to separate them...and just do less posts. We'll see how that works out.

Victoria, B.C. I have heard is beautiful!!
I live in the states just a short 45 minutes from Vancouver. You should stop by, our town is super cute.
And they say this weekend is supposed to be divine!

I face that purpose & quality vs quantity dilemma too with my home blog. Like my last post about breastfeeding - what place does it have on a blog supposedly about renovations? But its my blog and part of me so I decided to put it out there. Bloggers are not one-dimensional so why struggle to portray yourself as such? I think your readers will read no matter what you put out there.

Victoria, BC is lovely. I love Butchart Gardens and the city itself is very pretty at night, all decked out in twinkling lights. Oh, and do stop for afternoon tea at the Fairmont Express.

I live in Vancouver, BC and Victoria is only a short ferry ride away. If you have time, come see Vancouver as well - you won't be disappointed! I would love to meet you and would be happy to show you around.

Christina, you are such a superstar. and i love pink too...

I only have one little guy (and one more on the way in a couple weeks) and I feel like I'm spread to thin and am considering shutting my blog down for a while! I love your blog, it's my morning read with a nice cup of camomile.

As for Victoria, BC, oh my word, you will love it. Tonnes of antique stores, tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel will be a must for you and the girls and don't forget to take them all to the Wax Museum! There is also a little square off government st called Bastion Square, best fudge and little shops can be found within...AND CHINATOWN!! don't miss that either. I used to live there when I graduated high school, but am back on the mainland now, a short drive and ferry ride away. I noticed a reader suggested Vancouver too, if you have time it's so worth it, but honestly Vic will keep you plenty busy!! If you did have the time, you should check out my little resort town while your out in this neck of the woods. Harrison Hot Springs, we have natural hot springs and some GREAT restaurants...Hope you have a great weekend Christina and good luck on your vacation planning.

Cheers,
Karina

PS. We are known for 6 months of rain starting in November, so if you are planning on making it to Victoria this year, I'd go sooner then later!

I went to Victoria a LONG time ago, but what I remember most is Butchart Gardens. The grounds are massive and they have some really beautiful stuff- great for photos!

I grew up in Victoria and know you will love it (if the weather holds for you.) It is charming in the fall with all the colours floating in the ocean breeze. Do see the Butchart Gardens, the high tea they serve in the dinning room is fabulous. From the Butchart Gardens, Sydney by the Sea is only ten minutes away. A small fishing village updated to a charming walk of streets and little shops, great bakeries and ocean views all around, the best place to take pictures is on the wharf in Sydney.

If you are closer to Down Town and the weather is nice take a walk on the break-water, it is off Dallas Point road.

These places are my highlights, but really all of Victoria is charming. Do enjoy. If you have a moment breath some fresh Canadian air for me... (I am currently living in Nigeria Africa.)

that home with that white wooden stool is just the best room ever. And I know what you mean about blogging---it is such a great but odd thing! It was different when I was blogging just because I had so many things I HAD to share, but now that I actually have readers I find that I blog to please them...and that's not good.

I just love your blog because your life and family are so beautiful and so real. You make it glamorous, but you don't leave out the not-so-pretty parts which makes us all relate to you! Just blog when you feel like it...we'll read. Julie

I just ran across your blog and it is wonderful. I feel exactly the same way and I only have 2 kids (and a husband, 2 dogs and a cat). If something's going on in my life (when isn't it?) then there are huge gaps between my blog posts. Other times, I'll do 2 or 3 a week. I just can't seem to get my act together to do it everyday, but I think that's okay. Love your blog and will be reading whatever you choose to write!

Hugs to you.

You are a very genuine person, and that comes through to your readers...I say that just keep your blog about what inspires you. It is your outlet, so don't feel obligated to make it anything else.

I love when I see posts about the kids, that is why I come...you inspire me as a mother. You are fabulous, and I know this can be overwhelming at times. Pray about it, and let it flow naturally. :-)
