I am constantly feeling inspired about where I live. In my opinion I live in one of the most unique corners of the world...I live pretty close to the four corners region where canyons, red cliffs and mesas abound. I think that is why I also have such a fascination with Native American culture. Just made a friend who comes from the reservation near Tuba City, AZ. She has tried really hard to keep her Native American traditions alive. She also gave me some very good leads on where to find reasonably priced old school turquoise jewelry...I'm thinking she ranks pretty high on the new friend list:-) Road trip anyone? Peace pipe anyone? Big Gulps anyone? Just checking to see if anybody reads this because if you do then you will know that sometimes I just write random items of silly business and one of my favorite lines from the movie "Dumb and Dumber" goes as follows,
"Big Gulps huh...Well see ya later" (I swear that line was not scripted into the movie but just happened and they kept it anyway..I think it is the most random part of the movie..hence I like it).
Know what else is random? Tuesdays! It is a day in the week that is sort of just thrown in there. It's not the first day of the week, it's not part of the weekend, it's not hump day and it is not even a Thursday....which at least is one day shy of the start of the weekend and if you make it to Thursday there is light @ the end of the tunnel in a work week.
Happy Tuesday where ever you live!

i loooooove this!!!! so fun.
I totally read every post and this one was super inspiring! I've always wanted to visit that part of the country. We actually have a family goal to see all fifty states and had a trip planned to the four corners region for spring break of my freshman year of high school — when I promptly got kidney stones and had to ruin the trip for the whole family! We still haven't had a chance to try again and I'm still bitter. Sorry for the lengthy comment... Welp, see ya later ;)
LOOOOOOOOVE the library! That's the first thing I want for myself when I get my house! I'm so obsessed with them.
The new J Crew catalogue was fantastic. I wanted everything in it! Super inspiring post.

i need to take a road trip to your neck of the woods sometime:) happy tuesday friend!
LOVE the turqoise jewelry. I was a buyer at a local clothing store in our small Midwest town.( wow 38 years ago) Across the street a beautiful blonde lady owned a Western store. She sold turqoise jewelry there. I swear I bought a new piece every paycheck. I have one great bracelet left. I wish I knew where it all went. GREAT PICTURES !!
"Big Gulps, huh? Well, see ya later!" That is a common catchphrase around my house! Too funny. Great post, I reallly really love that J crew jacket, more than one should probably love a jacket.
yep, ditto on all accounts.
we still need a thrifting road trip sometime soon - maybe when the weather starts to cool down :)
Love big gulps and I am LOVING those barn doors!!
Oh my god, where can I get my hands on some authentic turquoise jewelry! :) Love me some of that. And please continue blogging. Love reading every single post.

absolutely gorgeous post my love! i like want more!!!! xoxo
funny. was just in the 4 corners on sunday. total road trip. however 4 corners monument was closed so i couldn't force the girls in laying in the middle to touch all corners. bummer! however in santa fe, NM the week before i got a killer turquoise ring at the Palace of Governors that i love. born and raised in Arizona so feel the need to wear tons of turquoise but can't really pull that look off. one ring ( a big one at that) will just have to do!
