I have such a split personality. The best way to illustrate this would be to point out the movie The Holiday. Remember that awesome house in Los Angeles and then that very charming house in the countryside in England? The older I get the more I find my thoughts split and often find myself dreaming of a cottage on the countryside. A very comfortable place where there is space to run around outside. A place to grow my own very large garden. A place to build memories through work, play and cooking many meals from scratch. I still want to be able to travel so I think most animals would have to be out of the question because who is going to take care of them when we leave..

Anybody else share this same dream?

Love all the photos you pulled--and I have a similar dream. I love the sweet simplicity of the "cottage" in these pictures, but to call it a cottage is a little dismissive! Love your sweet blog, too. Have a great day!

I have many home personalities. I live in a somewhat "modern" house but I too long for a country cottage with overflowing vines, wildflowers and a wrap around porch. I also crave a walk-up in Brooklyn and a flat in London! Did I mention the seaside villa in France, or perhaps Spain....PS - love the artwork in all your images.

I love the split personality you mention. Yup. I have got it too. I am the characters of Green Acres in one person. (oh, I hope you know the very old show, Green Acres) City gal, city gal.

Beautiful images, BTW.

I have about 3-4 home personalities. I like mostly light colors but I also like bold. I like French Country but I also like a bit of modern. Ho hum dee dum. But today anything goes. You can mix and match and throw all of that together.

I could so use that bathtub in front of the fireplace right now...and then a good solid 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Then breakfast in that cheery kitchen. Such pretty images.

Yes, ma'am, I'm totally split. Love it all--especially crisp, clean, and cozy with room to roam.

I love it! I want to live here and watch my kiddos grow old then turn one of the rooms into a nursery for when their babies come for a visit. yes, I guess I do dream a bit.

what an amazing space. it has so much texture with the paneling and the wallpaper and the rugs, but it remains sooo calming. scrumptious.
